Somewhere on US101, 17.00pm, 40miles and end of sunny day, time to search for pitching the tent for the night.
17.15pm, Bradley, small town on US101, pop.2000, some houses on the right, some on the left, one school, one church, a post office and a fire station. We ask the fire fighter if we could pitch the tent next to the station. The guy seems not to be from here, he send us back to the river, under the highway bridge.
17.30pm, back by the church. Doesn’t look good. I leave Rosy there to search some better place.
17.55pm, « He young man, the guitar player, do you know a place where we could pitch our tent for the night? ».
« Go to Jimmy’s place, he sure has some place for you. »
18.00pm, « Hello Jimmy? »
« Come ‘on in. What can I do for you? »
« We are traveling on bicycle and looking for a place to camp tonight. »
« Pick you place, every where it’s ok »
This how we meet Jimmy Rader his wife Peggy and his brother Carl.
Jimmy is a hot rod builder. His place is full of “diamonds”. His job is to give a second live to old cars. When you pass in front of his house, you think it’s an antique store or something like that.

No, everything is on his way to be born again for a second live.
They have a dream: to give a new live for the all place, a bed-and-breakfast, with a diner.
For the food, Peggy, you’re the best.
In the morning, they showed us the rest of the place. They have a barn, where every Saturday nights, there is music’s concert.
And here it hits me. Half a way around the hearth, in France, we have a friend, Roger, who is giving a second life of old piece of farming machine to create art.

And he and his wife Monique also have a barn, in witch they also have music’s concert a few times a year. What a similarities.
Thank a lot for your hospitality. Keep the dreams alive.
So long man.
